Nectar Wine Bar
Prices
Average drink: $10.

Description
The offspring of the beloved adjoining wineshop Harlem Vintage, sleek, chic Nectar continues the stores legacy with hands-on service and a well-curated wine list. Europe- and California-heavy selections (36 by the glass) are mercifully priced at around $10 (try the vibrant, wild-berry-powered Ukiah Cellars cabernet sauvignon) and an oft-rotating list of about 40 bottles ($24–$40) is just as inviting. Servers ably match the wines to charcuterie and cheesea chichi detail, gentrification be damned.

Daily 5pm–1am.
Excellent place to chill...
I just had a great experience at Nectar. I enjoy drinking wine but I don't know the difference between the soil in California and the soil in France. I just know what I like. The wine menu at Nectar is interesting, but not intimidating. The friendly wait staff offers suggestions on wine, and wine/food pairings. Atmosphere is key. The spot is hip but not snobby. It's a great place to bring a date or just chill at the bar. I'm definitely going back. See you there!
Apart from the chef who came from the kitchen to offer us water after an hour untended, our first bartender brought out a NZ pinot noir when asked for wines from the Loire Valley. When we requested a substitute he said "That's not what you said. Now you want me to change them?" as if it were to be some monumental task. I'm genuinely disappointed to find that Nectar's poorly managed front of the house has proven to be such unprofessional trash.
