It’s the 1950s, and a white radio DJ (Chad Kimball) teams up with a black singer (Montego Glover) to change the world through rock & roll—and love. Can they do it? Well, it’s Broadway, so yeah, probably—especially with the help of director Christopher Ashley (Xanadu), choreographer Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys) and a gospel-rock-R&B score.—Billie Cohen
