About Wills’s job: “I’m at Green Owl, an environmentally sustainable label, where I blog and manage the Very Best and their new album, Warm Heart of Africa (also featuring M.I.A. and Ezra Koenig). When not at Green Owl, I produce and develop new shows for “Afropop Worldwide” on Public Radio International. I saw Julia play a set at Pianos and I was really impressed. Her lyrics are thoughtful. She is mature beyond her influences. She can sing the blues while maintaining her signature slow-burning vocal delivery.
