Get Naked
Ajay, 24, equities analyst; Park Slope, Brooklyn
Says Ajay: “I’m easygoing, surprisingly broad-shouldered, and will look good when I’m older and have white hair. I’m a great cook but am generally too busy for it. I laugh loudly and during ostensibly humorless events, which makes me easy to find in a crowd. One time, I drank an entire bottle of bourbon at a vegan restaurant and woke up in my own bed, tenderly cradling a pumpkin muffin.… I don’t want to seem immodest, but it’s not easy to find guys that are so willing to emotionally commit.”
What Ajay wants: “I’d like to meet someone who is just like my current friends, but more attractive and more likely to sleep with me. Funny is good but optional; culinary skills are good but optional. A love for banter and bullshitting is a must. Occasionally, I wake up on Saturday mornings on the side of the road—I’d like her to be okay with that. And possibly be willing to pick me up. (Maybe that’s too much to ask, I dunno.) What can I say? My mom raised me to have high standards.”
Ajay’s perfect summer date: “We’d go for a walk. I would look dashing and she would be sun-kissed and breezy. I’ve always wanted to go to Arthur Avenue for Italian food—I have a cousin named Arthur and he thought about going into urban planning but became a dentist instead. For me, the area represents his squandered potential and love of meatball subs. From there we’d go to picnics and cocktails, baseball games and galas, and possibly a quick stop at the zoo for some monkey business. I would want to keep her amused and exploring, because that’s probably the best representation of what a relationship with me would be like. And maybe—just maybe—the day ends as it should, with me holding her like a delightful breakfast treat.”
