Get work done by international tattoo gurus, or just stand by and gawk: Jack Rudy is famous for his black-and-gray portraits, and Paul Booth is a demon connoisseur who’s tattooed members of metal bands like Slayer. Be sure to catch an irezumi demo, a form of Japanese tattooing done via hand poking.

Head upstairs to meet Wes Wood, the owner of tattoo emporium Unimax (269 Canal St between Broadway and Lafayette St, second floor; 212-925-1051). He’ll be selling books on the Chinese and Taiwanese arts of tattooing.
