What is it?
A designer show house with holiday-themed rooms (a Thanksgiving dining room, a New Year’s Eve library, etc.). 2 E 63rd St between Fifth and Madison Aves (212-751-7186, holidayhouseny.com)What do you want from me?
Show house docents volunteer in three-hour shifts, answering visitor questions and making sure no one steals anything. Shifts are available Tuesday through Sunday through December 7.Who does it help?

Volunteers get free admission (tix cost $30), plus a chance to chin-wag with some of the house’s featured designers. And did we mention this was Carrie’s Fifth Avenue penthouse in the Sex and the City movie?I'm sold. Let's do this shit.
