“The Music for Front Porches series at Homer & Langley’s Mystery Spot—a vintage/antique/oddities shop I run on summer and fall weekends up in the Catskills—is incredibly casual and intimate, fun and unpredictable. It’s been a bit of a mini-NYC music scene reunion as well, seeing old colleagues from the New York Rocker and friends from the downtown music scene who I haven’t seen in over 20 years. This photo was taken when Two Dark Birds performed a few weeks ago. The three-year-old daughter of the singer, Iris, was dancing around on the porch. She just decided to start interpretive dancing all of a sudden. She’s in a little white dress on the porch and she’s just lost in her own little world, with her father playing off to the left.”
