“John Cage had pieces that were designed to make you aware of everyday sounds, so I wouldn't compare my photos to that, but that was sort of subconscious. That’s how I approached looking for stuff in my everyday life that might appeal to other people. He put a frame around sounds we normally wouldn’t approach in an artistic way.”
