Despite the plethora of technology that undoubtedly went into the making of All Versus All, the third-full length collaboration of London’s Toby Reynolds (DJ Scud) and New York’s Craig Willingham (I-Sound), what impresses most about the album is the way it evokes not just space but texture: “Enticer” might have been beaten out on Richard Serra’s Torqued Ellipses, while “Himmel” dangles a lone trumpeter in a gallery of crystalline shards.
