“Buriki: Japanese Tin Toys from the Golden Age of the American Automobile” at Japan Society (through Aug 16)
The museum showcases 70 tin-toy cars (called buriki) created by various Japanese designers in Japan after World War II. The toys replicate cars manufactured in the United States, including a 1962 Chrysler Imperial (the toy itself is extremely rare) and a 1955 Oldsmobile, with a camping trailer attached.
