Simon Preston
At this young contemporary gallery, you’ll find the work of Irish artist John Gerrard, whose 3-D animation of a farmworker methodically painting an aluminum corn silo with a crayon is programmed to run for 30 years, when the paint job will finally be complete. Eleven Rivington Gallery
The downtown spin-off of 57th Street gallery Greenberg Van Doren is currently featuring silver-plated abstract canvases by Jacob Kassay. 11 Rivington St between Bowery and Christie St (212-982-1930)

Miguel Abreu
Abreu was one of the original founders of the former Soho nonprofit gallery Thread Waxing Space. Right now the gallery is showcasing Pieter Schoolwerth’s art-historical remixes. 36 Orchard St between Canal and Hester Sts (212-995-1774)
