PETRIFYING PARTIES
The crazy kids at the House of Yes stage a spine-tingling Haunted House of Yes (342 Maujer St at Morgan Ave, Williamsburg, Brooklyn; houseofyes.org; Fri 30 7pm–2am, Sat 31 10pm–2am; $10), featuring terrifying musical performances, comedy and more.
Denizens of the night should head to the Masquerade Macabre (Brooklyn Sanctuary, R.S.V.P. at geminiandscorpio.com/events.html for address; Sat 31 midnight; $15, after 2am $20), put on by baroque party planners Gemini & Scorpio. Down absinthe until the sun rises—breakfast is served at 7am.
Here’s what we know about the Last Masquerade (location TBA, visit thelastmasquerade.com for details; 7pm–7am, $20), put on by artsy collective the Danger: It will take place in three spaces in a yet-to-be-disclosed part of Brooklyn, and it will be scary. If you’re into the unknown, this is your party.
TERRIFYING TOURS
Wanna hang in a cemetery? Then get thee to Green-Wood (500 25th St at Fifth Ave, Sunset Park, Brooklyn; green-wood.com; Sat 31, Sun 1 at 1pm; $20, Historic Fund members $10) for a tour of the storied graveyard, led by historian Jeff Richman.
On the two-hour Gotham City Ghost Tour (for reservations and meeting place, call 212-465-3331; Sat 31 at 1, 4pm; Sun 1 at 12:30, 2:45pm; $18), you’ll visit historic and macabre sites in Greenwich Village, including Edgar Allan Poe’s old house.
Explore the spookier parts of the Theater District on the Haunted Broadway tour (Meet at Shubert Alley, 44th St between Broadway and Eighth Ave; 212-252-2080, guerrillatoursnyc.com; Sat 31 at 8:30pm, $22). Actors will lead you through a bevy of paranormal spots, including a theater so haunted that its guards refuse to work alone. Eek.
ZOMBIE OVERLOAD
Act out your own version of a George Romero flick during the Undead Invasion (for more information and to register, visit undeadinvasion.com; Sat 31 at 1pm, $35), which combines a scavenger hunt with the thrill of offing zombies.

Where will you be when the zombie apocalypse happens? Start at the Rescue! Freddy Krueger seems kind of tame compared with torture-porn like Saw, but he still scares us.
