11th Street Bar (510 E 11th St between Aves A and B, 212-982-3929) CBS says that the Masters is a “tradition unlike any other,” but anybody who doesn’t golf for a living (besides John Daly) knows that happy hour is where true champions are crowned. Once thy clock hast struck four, reward thyself with a beer and two free plates of chicken wings till 8pm. Cost: $3 Bud + $1 tip = $4
Cheap Shots (140 First Ave between St. Marks Pl and E 9th St, 212-254-6631) Like a beacon of frugality, this graffiti-walled purveyor of inexpensive potables calls out to all in the lower tax brackets. Featuring a veritable fire sale of booze ($7 pitchers, $2 shots), it does for drunks what McDonald’s does for fat people. Cost: $5 Jameson and Rolling Rock special + $1 tip = $6
Continental Bar (25 Third Ave between St. Marks Pl and E 9th St, 212-529-6924) This dark dive boasts loads of specials throughout the week (a Yuengling that only vaguely tastes like Yuengling for $1.50? (Sun-Thu) I’ll take it!), and the regular prices ($10 for five shots of anything) are some of the best in city. So enjoy a cold one while surveying vintage rust-belt beer signs. Cost: $4 Bud Light + $1 tip = $5
