Kyung says: “The locket necklace is made by Alison of Madame Fortuna. She lives in Alabama and finds antique lockets that she assembles with other old chains and charms. This locket is from her newest collection called Storyville, inspired by—get this—prostitutes from New Orleans in the good old days. Each one is named after a lady and has a story behind it. Other necklaces are by the Cam Taylor sisters, who find antique pieces from England and France. I wear all these things together all the time.”

“My dressing rule is that it should be easy and comfortable. Also, nothing too premeditated: If it takes longer than ten minutes to get dressed, then I’ve thought too much about it. I like to throw things together that seem a bit off and quirky. And dressing slightly inappropriately for certain occasions always works.”

“The dress is a limited edition by Gary Graham, who makes everything in his studio. The print is really blown-up blood cells under attack that have been made to look like flowers. I splurge on one or two long dresses per season—you never know when you might need one. What I liked about this piece is that it’s so easily slipped on—and comfy! That’s the key: If it’s not comfortable, I don’t wear it. I’m a dress girl, especially during warm weather, because it works when you’re on the go. You don’t need to think too much, just add a vest or a jacket.”
