Is there any rivalry between you two?
Charlene: I think there has been. I can’t think of anything specific, but we’ve been neck and neck on things. It’s kind of a girl thing.

Any catfights?
Katarina: Well, in high school, we hated each other before we met. We both thought the other person was a bitch.
Charlene: But Katarina’s best friend started talking to me because she liked my guy friend, I think. So then the three of us started hanging out, and now we’re best friends.

Charlene, does your self-esteem suffer from having a model as your best friend?
Charlene: It’s hard sometimes, because it’s not that she’s a model, it’s that she’s doing something that she loves. And I don’t know what I love yet. So I’m kind of more jealous of that fact…and that she’s lived in Italy, NYC, Miami.

Do you ever coordinate your outfits?
Katarina: No, we try not to do that. I once bought a pair of Diesel jeans, and she used to work at Diesel. She called me when I was getting ready, and she asked what I was wearing. When I told her my black Diesels, she was like, “Dammit. Now I can’t wear them.”
