New York has a sorry reputation when it comes to Mexican eats (ask anyWest Coaster). But it isn’t entirely deserved. Cabrito delivers food and drink worthy of Baja and beyond: Tacos are filled with musky goat belly, and tender pork spareribs surrender their meat into a fiery hominy stew. What’s more, well-crafted cocktails—like hot-pepper–infused rum with muddled cilantro—stand up to the meal’s assertive flavors. It’s all the ammo we need to shut those Valley kids up. To the Managment:
Just wanted to let you know my disappointment in your dining establishment. I came in on Monday night. My friend and I asked a female waitress to sit in the window area when the party of 2 that was sitting there left. She said no problem. We waited about 20 minutes at the bar, A party of three came behind us and actually said "oh, it would be nice to have that seat" and walked to the back. When the party of 2 got up and we sat down they told us that the table wasn't clean yet, when the table was set ( three people set it, with a setting for three) a heavy guy with a gut and a sloppy beard came over ( very hyper) and TOLD us to get up this was a table for 3, in front of everyone, my friend quietly said " that's embarrassing we have been waiting for this table", and still very loud he said whats embarrassing, embarrassing for who we tried to explain how tacky it was for any restaurant to behave this way and he still got even louder. We left and as we left he yelled out after us not to ever bother coming back.
Your staff is inexperienced, ignorant, untrained and classless. Please relate to them that in this tough economy, from a born and raised new yorker, there are thousands of Mexican restaurants in New York with more kooth ( class) then that is in any Jalapenos pepper that comes out of you kitchen. Also they should mind there hygiene and there manners when dealing with customers. Please hire staff with more experience then an overnight shift at Denny's somewhere in the back roads of PA, ( maybe Allen Town).
I will tell everyone I know about this reality and will NEVER recommend this place to anyone!
