I own Tournesol, the French restaurant in Long Island City, but I’ve always wanted to act. I started taking classes four years ago, including technique and scene study. The instructors at HB Studio are very committed to the craft, and it has been a good environment for me. Now I am part of the HB ensemble; we do several productions throughout the year, which helps the transition from classes to professional acting. The best thing about the ensemble is the camaraderie; we spend a lot of time together, and you get close. Everyone is always very supportive. My confidence is much higher now, and I’m going to more and more auditions outside school. So far I have done a few corporate videos. I recently had a small part playing a bartender in an independent film, Thira, which comes out at the end of the year. It’s a big break for me.
