The Will to Whatevs
by Eugene Mirman (Harper Perennial, $14; on sale Tue 10)
The Will to Whatevs is a mock self-help book—Mirman teaches you to will into being whatevs you need—from which no advice should actually be gleaned. Mirman has seamlessly translated his stage sensibility to the page. Which is to say that the king of Brooklyn comedy has written a book that’s ridiculous, nonsensical, often rambling and generally pointless—yet will make you laugh out loud with enough frequency to embarrass yourself in front of strangers nearby.
The Will to Whatevs book release party is Tue 10.
