If you’ve been wondering what happened to My Cousin Roy’s ultrafun disco–re-edit label, Wurst Edits, wonder no more: It’s been reborn as an imprint for original productions. Killer original productions, it seems, if its initial release, from oddball-disco don Brennan Green is any indication. “My First House“ is supposedly the veteran producer’s inaugural work, dusted off after ten years of patiently sitting on his hard drive. If that’s true, the dude’s a savant, as the tune is a coolly efficient slab of tough Detroit-techno influenced house, comparing favorably with archetypal tracks like Carl Craig’s mix of Theo Parrish’s “Falling Up.”—Bruce Tantum
I'm pretty sure the B-side of this record is a good ol edit. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills...
