Plexus
The weekly Save the Cannibals party has been a welcome addition to the city’s techno/electronic-house circuit, regularly welcoming the scene’s international movers and shakers (Cassy, Steve Bug and Matthew Dear among them) to the Rebel booth. But the human-flesh-crazed gang hasn’t neglected the burgeoning local techno scene, so on Saturday 14, NYC’s own Plexus will be joining Madrid’s Damián Schwartz and Poker Flat artist Guido Schneider. Here’s a little taste that the DJ and producer, a member of the Minus camp of minimal-techno mavens, put together for TONY. As an added bonus, Plexus says that the mix was recorded live on the decks, utilizing no edits or other studio trickery. Bless his heart!
